Selangor bans smoking, drinking and vaping in parks and playgrounds

SHAH ALAM (July 14): Selangor will be the first state in Malaysia to implement the rules of no smoking, drinking and vaping in public parks and playgrounds.
The decision was made by Ng Sze Han, a committee chairman of Selangor government, as a part of an amendment to the Selangor local councils Park Bylaw 2005.
The rule will be enforced with immediate effect, where offenders can be fined up to RM1000 if found guilty.
The announcement was made at a press conference in the state assembly annex building in Shah Alam.
