Two days ago Hallyu star Lee Min Ho celebrating his 34th birthday. Through the event, he thanked all his fans for their birthday wishes in Instagram post. He also managed to shares funny video on social media showing him blowing birthday candle a side with a pile of presents from his fans all over the world.

Superstar Lee Min Ho recently finished his drama shooting for The King: External Monarch (TKEM) that has achieved the rating of 5.8 % for the first part and 8.1 % for the second part during finale. Lee Gon the King (Lee Min Ho character) succeed to make audience falling in love with the credibility of the King of Corea and boyfriend goals type. Other than amazing fantasy storytelling and romantic scene in this drama also marks as comeback of Lee Min Ho after his military discharged at the age of 30. TKEM shows Korean emperor Lee Gon tries to close the doors to a parallel world which was opened by demons; a detective tries to protect the people and the one she loves. In addition, this drama also starred by Kim Go Eun (Jang Tae Eul/Luna), Kim Do Hwan (Jo Eun Seob/ Jo Yong), Lee Jung Jin (Lee Rim), Jung Eun Chae (Goo Seo Ryung) and more.

Furthermore, this MYM Entertainment artist started his career from small appearances in several shows before he landed the role of Park Du-hyeon in Secret Campus before making a major breakthrough in 2009 with Gu Jun-pyo in Boys Over Flowers. Through the series ultimately launched him into superstardom. From his journey as actor and singer since 2006, last month he also celebrating his 14 years of debut enduring his career in TV and film. His evolution through the year made him as Lee Min Ho today’s, he gain spotlights from all drama maker that was produced popular series and set him as a main character such as City Hunter, Heirs, Gangnam Blues, Bounty Hunters, and Legend of the Blue Sea. In fact, with all the success of drama series plus TKEM reach solid rating of viewers also made him as “The King of Followers”, smashes social media records with his staggering number of followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Weibo. According to MYM Entertainment, Lee Min Ho currently has 17.3 million Facebook followers, 16.6 million Instagram followers, and 3 million Twitter followers.

The King: Eternal Monarch is already reaching its end and Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun are more lovey-dovey than ever.  Before both been pairs, Lee Min Ho has been paired with a lot of famous Korean actress such as Park Shin Hye, Ku Hye Sun and Jun Ji Hyun. From TKEM shooting experienced Lee Min Ho commented to The Korea Herald newspaper,
“It’s like a pretty fairy tale. While the drama portrays a warm feeling overall, it is built on a concrete story with seemingly alive characters breathing inside it,” Lee Min Ho said during a press conference live streamed online Thursday.
Lee, who said he is both anxious and excited to finally return to television, added that the last three years have been a time for him to look back on his life and overcome his shortcomings as an actor.
“Entering my 30s, I think I’ve come to see what is the most fundamentally essential, whether in work or relationships with people,” Lee said.
By pouring extraordinary effort for Lee Gon, Lee Min Ho aims the character to be loved by viewers. According to HELLOKPOP, Lee’s fascinating immersion to his role can be credited to his efforts and passion. The images show Lee Min Ho digesting his character with focus. During breaks, he studies the script before the camera rolls again for another take.

Even in the actual filming, Lee Min Ho carefully studies every scene to convincingly draw the three-dimensional story lines of the parallel world and constitutional monarchy. In particular, he is praised by the on-site staff for his amazing script memorization. Moreover, Lee Min Ho practiced various sports such as rowing and horse riding. Topping that is the sleek combat skills suiting the sketch of a perfect monarch. Through all sacrifices from all The King: External Monarch team’s, Lee Min Ho aims the completion of high-concept fantasy romance that will be loved by Korean drama patrons.
